Interspiro, Inc. is the American division of one of the largest suppliers of breathing equipment and related products in the world. We provide firefighters all over North and South America with a reliable source of breathing air through a device known as a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA). We also provide divers with the industry-renowned “AGA” mask. Many other products and accessories are also available.
From our Pleasant Prairie, WI facility, and through a network of independent distributors and sales agents, we supply SCBAs, dive masks, parts and accessories to some of the nation’s largest fire departments.
Over 36,000 Interspiro SCBAs have been sold in the United States over the past fourteen years. Our customers have selected Interspiro as their breathing equipment supplier because of the Interspiro product performance and its reliability over time. Interspiro products are designed to perform flawlessly after exposure to extremes of temperatures, flame and high impact forces--for many years.
Some of the components used in our products are manufactured by our parent organization Interspiro AB in Lidingo, Sweden, a suburb of Stockholm. Interspiro, Inc. takes the Swedish regulators and valves and combines them with US-based components to create an SCBA built to American performance standards, for sale and use in the American market. American standards for the proper design and function of SCBA are established by NIOSH, a federal safety agency, and NFPA, a fire industry safety group.
